Weaving paths

A comprehensive protection and health response with a gender and inclusion focus, targeting vulnerable people affected by migration, violence, disability, and displacement.

The TEJIENDO CAMINOS project seeks to contribute to an integrated, high-quality response in terms of protection and health, which meets the basic and specific needs of vulnerable people in Colombia affected by migration, violence, disability, and displacement, through the provision of services, disaster preparedness, capacity and system building, information provision, awareness raising, and advocacy. The project is implemented in coordination between CARE Colombia and Humanity & Inclusion with the support of the European Union's Directorate-General for Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid - ECHO.

  • Women, adolescents, and LGBTIQ+ individuals who are survivors of or at risk of GBV.
  • People with healthcare needs due to perinatal monitoring or risk, sexually transmitted diseases, and sexual violence.
  • Pregnant and/or breastfeeding women.
  • People with disabilities or mental illnesses.
  • Victims of armed conflict.
  • Migrants.

Where are we?

The Weaving Paths project is being implemented in the following departments:

  • Cauca: Buenos Aires, Suárez, Santander de Quilichao.
  • Nariño: Ipiales, El Rosario, Policarpa.
  • Norte de Santander: Cúcuta.
  • Guajira: Riohacha, Barrancas, Fonseca, La Uribia, Maicao.
