En el desarrollo de la Iniciativa Bogot\u00e1 2.0<\/b>, proyecto de la Cooperaci\u00f3n Alemana<\/b> para el Desarrollo <\/b>(GIZ<\/b>), en alianza con el Hospital Universitario La Charit\u00e9 de Berl\u00edn<\/b>, El Instituto Alem\u00e1n de Estudios Globales y Regionales (GIGA<\/b>) y CARE Colombia<\/b>, desarrollaron desde febrero a agosto del 2023<\/b>, la investigaci\u00f3n sobre los determinantes sociales en salud relacionados con la s\u00edfilis en contextos de crisis humanitarias<\/b> en la frontera Colombia<\/b> y Venezuela<\/b>, este producto busca comprender la complejidad de la situaci\u00f3n de las personas s\u00edfilis adquirida\/ gestacional\/cong\u00e9nita y contribuye a la disminuci\u00f3n de los \u00edndices<\/b> de morbilidad y mortalidad<\/b> evitables a trav\u00e9s del reconocimiento e intervenci\u00f3n de los determinantes sociales en salud en las poblaciones afectadas<\/b> por emergencias y a su vez emitir recomendaciones claves<\/b> que contribuyan con la programaci\u00f3n de la respuesta humanitaria en el territorio. <\/b><\/p><\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The increase in syphilis, particularly congenital syphilis, poses a public health threat in Colombia. However, there is a curative treatment in the form of penicillin (one to three doses), which is low-cost; the challenges are early detection, diagnosis, and timely treatment in a context of high vulnerability and mobility. This document summarizes the results of three studies we completed, along with a pilot health services project implemented by CARE Colombia, within the COL-VAC-SIF project (through Charit\u00e9 and managed by the German Institute for Global and Area Studies) and funded by the Deutsche Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Norte de Santander, from March to August 2023.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
